"Hi Kathryn: Not sure if you are still on here but you mentioned that you liked exercise to music. Have you tried Zumba (Shakira...Out of Africa...Waca Waca)? Best thing I've found to bring down the blood sugars."

"My weight is just creeping off, 2 pounds in 2 weeks. That's okay. I had gained ~10 pounds at menopause, and I am trying to get it off! Unfortunately, this menopause thing has zapped my energy, so I don't get as much exercise."

Hey peeps! My name is Kathryn. I live in an area of California that us locals like to refer to as The Armpit of California. Otherwize known as The San Joaquin Valey. Yes I will admit it, I am a valley girl born and raised. Like totally, you know! I have awesome parents and two big brothers. I love my husband the mostest. We have been married a little over 7 years! We are currently still a family of two. We are hoping to increase that number as soon as we can since we have recently been given the green light for me to get pregnant!
I can hardly believe that it has been a year and a half since I was diagnosed. I feel like it was just yesterday but at the same time I really cant remember a time when I was poking myself many times a day! As always any tips, encouragement or recipes would be greatly appreciated!

Diet And Exercise. Exercise is very important. It can control your blood sugar for up to 72 hours. Just 30 min a day and watch those carbs. Not to many at one time. Try to keep that A1C to 6.5 or below. Good luck.
