Baby is Good for Me

I'm 26 weeks today! Baby boy is a kicking fool.After about a month and 1/2 of wrangling my boluses and basals I FINALLY have them working for me! My averages, courtesy of the Ping meter are a doctor's dream, or at least not a nightmare.7 Day: 12214 Day: 12830 Day: 13560 Day: 146I'm happy with these as they're pretty REAL, with hardly any highs or lows to skew the numbers. But, as everyone says...don't expect to rest on my diabetic laurels when pregnant, I'll probably have to change everything…See More

"You may need to lesson your insulin even more in order to lose weight; your calories w/ working out seem fine, so maybe go lower-carb for a couple weeks to see if a change in insulin amounts (keep the change consistant) will help some more weight…"

I'm 26 weeks today! Baby boy is a kicking fool.

After about a month and 1/2 of wrangling my boluses and basals I FINALLY have them working for me! My averages, courtesy of the Ping meter are a doctor's dream, or at least not a nightmare.

I Forgot About Peeing on a Strip...

Ok, so I'll admit something...I haven't checked for ketones personally in years, like many years, as in I don't remember the last time I peed on a strip. I know we lived in our old house, sometime before my senior year of high school...I am now almost 30. I was reminded they exist when I went to a pre-pump-getting class and was a little embarrassed to say I never check!

Oh - your kitty picture on your profile pic looks like the twin of my cat called Beauduoin (who I called FatCat - since he had diabetes later in life). He did slim down once I got him on proper food / insulin and he lived for many more years with me!
Have you progressed any further with figuring out which insulin pump you're going to be going onto? The nice thing in the USA - you have so many more options to chose from then we nonAmericans have - so chose the one that fits you best!!! I'm like Marie B for years of diabetes - but only starting to pump 3 years ago - and am loving it!
