Kevin commented on Jigga's group 'Tandem T:Slim Users'
"Thanks. I had a similar experience to yours Linda when I switched to the Animas Ping. Since I had a Minimed, I just programmed it in a similar manner. A week later someone called to schedule training and I mentioned I'm already using it. I…"

Kevin commented on Jigga's group 'Tandem T:Slim Users'
"For people who were on another pump before switching to the t:slim, did you bother with "training" before using it? It's so easy to set up with settings from my old pump that it seems pointless to deal with training."

Kevin commented on Jigga's group 'Tandem T:Slim Users'
"Just found out my new t:slim will arrive tomorrow! It will replace my Animas Ping pump which is now out of warranty. I haven't been very happy with the Animas pump which is too bad since they're manufactured a couple miles down the road…"

Kevin replied to Kevin's discussion 'Pump battery issues - safety issue?' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"That's another thing I don't like about this pump. You have to go through the process of taking out the insulin reservoir, then reprime it. When I used to own a MiniMed, all I did was remove the old batteries and put new ones in. It would…"

Ernie replied to Kevin's discussion 'Pump battery issues - safety issue?' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"At 10:57 today I got the LOW BATTERY alert, two days ago I noticed I lost one bar of battery when glancing at the pump so I knew to have a battery around to switch out when the pump alerted. So at 4:00 today 6 +/- hours and I changed the battery and…"

Hello-
We started a new Pennsylvania specific group (http://tudiabetes.com/group/pennsylvaniadiabetics)

And- I was thinking that eventually we should have a philly meet up for all us at TuD.
Maybe Bowling for Blood Sugars? Get together, socialize, test, and try to see who can most closely match blood sugar value with bowling score. Winner gets... something to be determined.

Happy Wednesday, guys- I hope your sugars behave today.

Hi kevin, thanks for adding me. I was wondering where you have found is the best place to put your dexcom sensor? Especially while riding.

Yeah I spoke to Animas today and it's just something I guess I'll ahve to get used to. I don't care too much for the single reports. I like them to be together to see bolus and basal and numbers all in one wash. Guess I'll have to logg afterall.

Hi Kevin... question for you. I started on the Ping today on my own. Can you not recall BGs off your pump? Only off the meter and do you have to download them both? Also if you do not want to put the food data base on the pump can you still use it off the meter? I have to sit down with the books more but my eyesight isn't good. :o( That is why you should wait on formal training huh. ha ha ha Been pumping over 15yrs now though so I just thought I'd hook up anyway. Thanks Sandy

Hi Kevin. I actually don't live in columbia, but when I signed up, it required my zip code. I do live about 60 miles from there, but I figured no one would have ever heard of my little town.
Great a1c!!

Ah, ok. I'm also working in pharma in RTP (although I do biostatistics and at a different company). And yeah, the weather here is not so bad. It may snow tonight, but was in the 60's yesterday and should be in the 60's again by this weekend. :)

How do you measure the work of volunteers?

329,040 minutes, 329,040 moments so dear. 329,040 minutes — How do you measure, measure volunteers? In smileys, in tears shed, in counsel, in cups of coffee. In units, in carb counts, in laughter, in strife. In 329,040 minutes – how …
