Thanks Paul :) So far so good. The Foundations class I had yesterday was really well-run, and I am happy with the process so far!

I am a patient at Joslin and have gone through the classes. I just saw your post - hopefully your class went well. Generally there's plenty of time at the follow up appointments to clear up any questions you have. I would write down any questions ...

Kiera, welcome to the world of PING. I started pumping insulin with my blue Ping just last month, Oct. 12th to be exact. Have been doing the test, eat, test re-adjust, test, adjust, test.... now since then but we were real close to start with. Now it is a matter of "fine tuning". How was the first site change for you. I was kinda nervous so I messed up on one of the sets, so much fun, got to poke myself again ! I also found out the hard way the batteries that came with the pump and meter may not last as long as expected. I ended up changing my pump battery after 2 weeks.... yeowch ! So now I carry a spare with me.
Good luck and welcome to the Ping club !

Hey Kiera - welcome to the Animas world (I use a blue Animas 2020 - called Antonio Banderas). I'll bet you are going to be counting down the hours/minutes/seconds/nanoseconds until you are hooked up to the real juice of our existance. I've been pumping for almost 2 years, after 40 years of MDI and I'm so glad I made the switch! What colour is your PING?

Hey Kiera,

Thanks for the response!!! Umm she ended up finding out I was diabetic from one of my big mouth brothers and she dumped me!!!

You wrote, " have actually tested the blood sugar of boyfriends a few times so they can better understand that it really is not that bad"...That is really dangerous!! You can catch a disease doing that!! Keep away from other peoples blood!!
