A little background....
I have been living in Bologna, Italy for the past three years as my husband is Italian, but I am originally from the United States. Having lived a bit of everywhere, I last lived in Davis, California where I went to college. I am 26 years old and have been diabetic since I was 7 and on a Minimed pump since I was 10.
I love travelling, reading, running, hiking, skiing - basically doing anything outdoors! I have done a lot of international traveling and would love to offer any advice that I can to people with questions.
Living in a foreign country and trying to figure out the whole health care system and how to make the best of the situation is quite a challenge, and since moving here I have turned to fellow diabetics for a lot of support. I started using a Minimed 522 and the cooresponding CGMS a year and a half ago. I am really happy with it and have had a 6.5 A1C for the first time EVER!
