"Medicare covers the strips, but no one on the approved list sells them by mail order. However, you can buy them over the counter at CVS and Walgreens and certain other drug stores and Medicare will pay."

My son was diagnosed with type 1 in May of 2011, when he was 3.5 years old.

Mother of Type 1, 3 year old boy.

My 3 year old son was diagnosed in May of this year with Type 1 . We are following Dr. Niel Barnard's vegan diet without a lot of support from the mainstream. I am looking forward to chatting with other vegan diabetics!

Hi KJ,
I was browsing through the internet and saw a discussion that you had about niacinamide close to 2 years ago. Did it work? My daughter (10) just got diagnosed with type 1 and run into this grug/vitamin that helps/restores beta cells. Please let me know if it worked for you.
