Hi Pete you sent me a comment about camp Joslin. I added a picture from the group back in 1972. Let me know what you think.

I don't really follow baseball... I don't really watch a whole lot. I watch CFL football and I like Edmonton Eskimoes. My favorite hockey team is Edmonton also but i really just enjoy watching good hockey... if it's an intense, fast-paced game then it's all good.

No I am not a Yankees fan... Reggie told me that in the summer when he was in Flin Flon he would stand on the pavement with his skates on and slap pucks at a piece of plywood. He said he'd bust up a piece of wood every couple days. I always wondered how rough that would be on a guys blades.

Lots of Bombers went on to the NHL. He's definately the most famous. When my dad was a boy Reggie Leach lived with him as a billet. I got to try on Reggie's Stanley ring and he signed a rookie card that i had of him. Bobby comes to town every once in awhile and ya it's usually the night of a Bomber game and they honour him a bit.

Knox.... the story behind my ID

Tonight as we were heading home from tennis practice (our exchange student fancies the racket sport) Juyeon (exchange student) asked why we named Knox....Knox? Good question I said! So, here it goes:

My wife, Jean (who has an M.Ed and deserves most of the credit), while looking for a topic for her Master's thesis decided she was going to attack inappropriate teaching skills in her piece de resistance (?). I just wanted to use that phrase but I take it you get the picture, right? So, we needed a… Continue

Our Squirrels...aka as the Jonas Brothers!

Sorry, awhile back I mentioned that I would wrote about our squirrels....so here goes:

We moved into our house in December of 2007 it was between two Nor'easters that both dropped 2.5-3 feet. The one day in between we came a runnin' to the new home. It is a nice house located in the same neighborhood I grew up in. The back yard abuts the local public school yard and play ground. On the property line to our left is a beautiful maple tree about 53 years old. The folks next door moved in after he… Continue

Me and my Erica ...... a love story of MEGA proportions

Okay, to me, the greatest benefit of a layoff is spending time with the kids.
Pure happiness, love and personal emotional greed!!
I love my children just as much as I am sure all of you (who have them) do as well.
My son, Knox, and I have that special father/son bond that includes sports, scouts, loyalty to mom, frustration with little sister(s), sense of achievement at the simplest things and of course ..... love of meat that by all standards is bad for us all but darn good hot off a grill!

My… Continue

Moving forward.............

Received my desk belongings via two FedEx boxes last night. Now, I can move forward!
I have the pictures to place on my new whereabouts. Retrieved the $85.00 worth of cub scout candy I was selling for Knox.
A sense of completion for me. So, the sun does come up...again and again and again.

These last few days have allowed me to not only eat with my family but to cook for them.
I am the cook in our house and making things days in advance was going over well. Now it's right out of the oven and to… Continue
