Actually it did happen to me. I took provera 10 mg for 10 days. It took 3 rounds before my periods finally started coming normal again. My doc said it wasnt blood sugar related. I had a psuedo-pregnancy.

I want my pump back

I first went on a pump in 2001. Lost my health insurance when I turned 21 in 2004. I bought my supplies until 2007 when I was injured at work and could no longer afford it . After that my mom who used a pump because she was type 2 would share her supplies, she however had weight loss surgery and quit needing the pump in May of this year. I am so proud she lost the weight but that also meant going off the pump for me. My a1c has been continually going up since. My doc gave me that fun look they g… Continue

a kid today....

My mom works at a very rural hospital. She called to tell me about a 7yo boy who was transported into the ER today and wound up being care flighted out. The diagnosis DKA. He was undx'd prior to this and came in seizing with an o2 sat of 52%. I felt bad for the kid and my mom knew all to well what this child's mom was going through. I have been saying prayers every since knowing what life will be like with the D. I was quite curious what it blood sugar was and was shocked when I found out it was… Continue

lows and trick or treating......

I took three of my nephews ages 7, 6, and 4 trick or treating around my small home town. We were walking around and my four year old nephew told me I looked sick and gave me some of his candy and some of his soda. I didnt feel a thing but I ate some to satisfy him because he wouldnt back down giving it to me. When we got back to the car I checked me blood sugar, because he wouldnt leave me alone. It was 42. I am so glad he noticed even though I didnt and insisted I eat. My sister was with me and… Continue

The ups and downs.....

So I have never blogged on here about my diabetes but i do sometimes on myspace but mostly venting. Right now I can tell you my control has gone to hell. I was greeted ever so kindly with a "HI" from my meter last night and woke you with a great "36" this morning. I can assure this has been all week. I am constantly correcting something. I dont understand my diet is no different my habits have actually gotten better. I am sleeping now. I have been over 500 four times since saturday and under 60… Continue

I've done that and the opposite as well. Take a shot and then get wrapped up in some family activity and not eat when I planned too...today I took my shot, tended to my daughter who was home sick (playing hookey lol) and then went to the gym. I got out of my car and said dammit. Hadda go buy a bannana real quick.

Hope you are feeling ok.

Maybe you can suggest to your doctor to recommend you for some kind of sleep discorder therapy...Phototherapy, Reconditioning, etc. It does not require meds...I guess your schedule is working for you now? I do hope you can find some solution to your concern. I do wish you well...

Does it interfere with your daily activities? Work perhaps? If it does...you may need to see a physician. Right now...try to relax...Breath deeply, inhale and exhale. Clear your mind...and relax your muscles. I do hope you find sleep soon...
