Greetings from CANADA, where INSULIN was discovered by BANTING & BEST, JULY 30 1921. Check out www.restorethebantinghomestead. com and find out why I am asking insulin-users to call 5 DIABETICS,including yourself to join me, in silence, and give THANKS FOR INSULIN,giving hundreds of millions of US a chance to live healthy and productive lives TODAY. AMIGOS will be selling BLUE ROSES, to support the cause, this flower was picked because of its meaning,'ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE' our motto & mission I am a 91 young computer rookie, insulin-dependent since 1977, when I was clinically dead, in BOSTON, with a BG of 880, with my second chance have been on a journey of being a ROLE MODEL to over 40.000 and mentoring to those new members on this website, who live in areas , high in diabetes and low in diabetes info. My years of wisdom and experiences, has given me things I share with others. When dealing with people with diabetes, make sure they, 1 Have a diabetic team, (diabetic specialists, dietitan, podiatrist, social worker, pharmacist). 2 Wear a MEDIC-ALERT identification, it SPEAKS, for you in emergencies. 3. Listen to your BODY, it tells you what to eat, when to eat, EXERCISE, snack, rest, sleep. 4. Have a DIABETIC BUDDY, someone to keep in touch with EVERYDAY, they could SAVE YOUR LIFE.
