I just thought that I might alert you all of a miracle that happened right here, in England. This will come a massive shock to all who were not residing in England on this very day today ( or were not so hung over that they could not think. But you are all diabetics and if you have been hung over I shall be deeply ashamed of you :p) So back to the miracle ( I do tend to get sidetracked.) There was an unidentified object in the sky. I would say a UFO but it was sort of hovering in one space.…

The Story of La! (TSOL 1)

Hello to everyone else with a messed up pancreas and thanks for coming to read my blog. I guess I should begin with telling you a bit about myself. I am a happy pumped type one fourteen year old living in the United Kingdom in a small little place, you might not have heard of it, called London. I have been diabetic since I was eleven, almost twelve. I was diagnosed on New Years Day 2010 and my parents were told when I was admitted to hospital on that snowy day ( very dodgy for the ambulance)…

Gee, thanks, La, for the friendly comment! I too am buoyed by people (you) saying nice things about me. As I am nearly 60, and D for 44 years of that, I have lost a wee bit of my bounce. So it is wonderful to encounter yours! I too have been a happy person for much of my life and have not let diabetes keep me from my dreams. Bravo for you!

Your life sounds very interesting so far. I have been to London and, as a country girl, found it HUGE and so busy! But full of life and all manner of just about everything? When you said 30 degrees, I thought you meant Fahrenheit - ha ha - Silly Americans. When will we catch up with the rest of the world? So you like the heat?

I seem to live in the only part of the US spared this year's roasting spring temps. Here it has been cool and rainy for just about ever. I know I should be glad, but a bit of 30ish weather would suit me just fine about now!
All the best,
<3 earthling

Welcome to the family!! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of what you will learn is that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and vent to, if needed.
