Life-long Learner replied to Cocheze's discussion 'Has anyone tried the waist pouch from Minimed?' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"Thanks Lisa L. for including the link to the Spibelt website! I had visited the website before but I happened upon them at a local runners' gear store and got to try one before buying. I was amazed that such a tiny pouch could expand to easily…"

Life-long Learner replied to Cocheze's discussion 'Has anyone tried the waist pouch from Minimed?' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"I have a version of that pouch that I bought over a decade ago. I'm not sure it's still the same but it worked well for me. (I don't use it now. It was made for a smaller minimed pump than I have now, though I did squeeze it in and…"

Life-long Learner replied to Anne's discussion 'Ladies, how do you 'wear your pumps' most comfortably?' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"In her updo?! lol. No unsightly bulges in the dress! I'm so curious how she got it to stay up there?! How creative! My doc actually really hates it when I use the manual or easy bolus. She wants to see that the bolus wizard is being used…"

Life-long Learner replied to Anne's discussion 'Ladies, how do you 'wear your pumps' most comfortably?' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"I don't think it sounds weird at all . I do that sometimes when I'm wearing skirts (when I said I tucked it into my waistband I actually meant either underwear or skirt) and at night. Sometimes I forget it's there and wear it with…"

Life-long Learner replied to Anne's discussion 'Ladies, how do you 'wear your pumps' most comfortably?' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"I put mine in my pocket or tucked in my waistband. With the lower waist pants and shallow pockets, I find that it falls out a lot. Often it happens when I'm getting out of the car/van and then it falls and crashes into the metal. It's…"

Life-long Learner replied to Christina's discussion 'First day and site stings when I bolus' in the group Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users
"I've been pumping with a minimed pump for a decade now. After much consideration of pump brands, I recently upgraded to the latest Paradigm. I have occasionally had both what you described and much more rarely what Eric described. Based solely…"

Life-long Learner replied to Tom Goffe's discussion 'TSA Screeners Destroy Teenager's Insulin Pump'

Life-long Learner replied to Tom Goffe's discussion 'TSA Screeners Destroy Teenager's Insulin Pump'
"Coming back from out of the country I had the hand-swab test and it showed up positive! That false positive triggered every single item in my carry-ons and all insided surfaces of my bags being swabbed as well as the pat-down and swab for me. Yes,…"
