Hello! How's it all going Linda...any questions/suggestions? Take a look at some of the other groups available on tu. when you get the chance!

I am part of the Welcome Committee and was just checking in on you to make sure you are aware of all that TuDiabetes has to offer. We would love to hear from you so here is a helpful link where you can read about all the things you can do in the community.

Question: I saw my Endocrinologist today and he wants me to have a blood test done to test for Addison's disease. Does anyone have that? I did a search and found some info, but I want to talk to someone that has it.

Wow...6 rescues. I would if I could. I need to move out into the country where I can have more :o). Yes, I do have the new meter. I have been using it for a while now. I really like it. Yes, I went on the pump in 1984 when I was pregnant. It was the blue brick- minimed. Did you wear that one? When I was diagnosed in 1970 there were disposable syringes..though my brother had to boil his when he was diagnosed. He was diagnosed in 1964. I see where you are on disability...he is also. He had a head on collision in 2003 while going to work due to a low bs. It really messed him up. I have been very fortunate with no complications..yet.
Hope your day is good!

Hi Linda, Glad you have joined TuDiabetes. You can get a lot of info from this site from people like us. I was diagnosed in 1970. So, I'm right there with ya. I also wear the Minimed pump. I have worn it for 24 years. I was one of the first to go on it. But now, you see them everywhere.
Are those your puppies in the picture? I have a chocolate lab and a jack russell. I love my babies!
Hope you are having a good day!
