Lindsay Sears replied to Jan's discussion 'New Dex User -- Looking for Help with Insertion and Site Rotation' in the group Dexcom Users
"When I started using the Dex I was putting it in my stomach and my hips, too, and it hurt 24/7. It also died much more quickly (i.e. I could never get a sensor to last past one week). I never managed to make either of those sites work comfortably.…"

Lindsay Sears replied to dday1979's discussion 'Not getting trend arrows' in the group Dexcom Users
"I posted a forum thread about this when I first got the Dex, in a total panic because my trend arrows would disappear and reappear at random. It's totally normal; sometimes I go for a couple of hours without one, especially near the beginning…"

Lindsay Sears replied to Rose Joelle's discussion 'Scar Tissue??? ... and other questions about wearing a sensor past the 7 days...' in the group Dexcom Users
"I'll second what has already been said: itching is just a part of the deal, but usually i find that it only lasts for two or three days and then stops, so the longer i can wear a sensor for, the less it itches. As for tape, i've had…"

Lindsay Sears replied to jimt1cgms's discussion 'Sensor Sites' in the group Continuous Glucose Monitor Users
"I also use my upper arms exclusively for my DexCom sensors, and usually around day 6 or 7 I have to put another piece of tegaderm or hypafix over the original tape to keep it on. but i also restart my sensors and use them as long as they will…"

Lindsay Sears replied to Paul's discussion 'CGM Which system should I get?' in the group Continuous Glucose Monitor Users
"I'm sure you've probably made a decision by now, but I just wanted to throw in another vote for the DexCom Seven Plus. This device has been by far the best development ever in my diabetes treatment (and I've been diabetic for 17…"

Lindsay Sears replied to Lindsay Sears's discussion 'site stopped working' in the group OmniPod Users
"Hey Karl, Thanks for the show of support! I actually went off of the pump about three months ago and my A1c dropped from 7.8 to 6.4. It had gotten to the point that you describe where I never knew if a pod was going to work or not and there were…"

kchannell replied to Lindsay Sears's discussion 'site stopped working' in the group OmniPod Users
"This happens to me all the time, I feel that 1 in 3 pods seems to not work and I get little to no absorption without any pump errors. It also seems totally random sometimes one site works and sometimes it doesn't, even with rotating sites…"

Helmut replied to Lindsay Sears's discussion 'disappearing trend arrow?' in the group Dexcom Users
