Women's PODS Support Group / Northbay - Novato at NorthBay-Novato Fire Dept.

May 14, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm
The purpose of the meeting is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for women with diabetes to take time away from others and truly focus on their health. "It means that the receiver can't understand the transmitter, sometimes out helps to enter 2 blood sugar readings from your glucometer. I have got this when I get a sudden high or when I try to stretch the time on my sensor to long"

WOW....it's been a while since I have written.

The kids are definitely keeping me busy as well as all the Thanksgiving festivities.

Now that my house is almost put back together I'm feeling the need to write.

O.K......so how many of you have experimented with where you put your infusions sets?

I have always been a creature of habit, therefore always sticking to the same old spot...my abdomen!

November is "Bitter Sweet" for me...

November is Diabetes Awareness month.

November is also the month that my son died.



So as a Type 1 Diabetic and a mom, November is a little bitter sweet for me.



I want to rejoice and embrace November for all the love and support that is out there in the Diabetes Community, but I also want to just lay in bed and wake up December 1st when the month is all over.



21 years ago my son Shawn was brought into life and also sent to Heaven!

Sometimes I've often wondered if my kids really understand me and my disease. I have always done my best to be positive and make it so that they don't have to worry about me.

My story about the big "D"
