I live in TOTONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, where INSULIN was discovered by BANTING & BEST, JULY 30 1921, check out www.restorethebantinghomestead.com.As a computer rookie at 91, it has me acting like kid with a new toy, and being a student of the UNIVERSITY OF HARD KNOCKS,you know there are no graduation days, and a perso NEVER finishes his apprenticship. Checking this website every day to seewhat members I can contact, find out from them WHAT DO YOU NEED TO IMPROVE DIABETES AWARENESS AND PREVENTION IN YOUR area? Beng insulin-dependent since1977, I have a ROLE MODEL to over 40.000 diabetics and with the computer reaching out into the world to share my experience and wisdom. What pointed me in your direction is your name? I will bet it has been a topic of conversation, many times. I will be calling insuli-users, worldwide and asking them on INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY, JULY30, to join me, in silence, and give THANKS for this CANADIAN"MIRACLE" giving hundreds of millions of us, a chance to live a healthy lifestyle. My project is that we will beselling BLUE ROSES for the homestead to be turned into a camp for children. The BLUE ROSE was chosen because of its meaning and our motto"ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE" To try and form diabetes support groups I use a AMIGOKIT PPROACH. Call 5 diabetics EVERYDAY, it will make someones DAY ,and could SAVE A LIFE, then I ask them to call 5 diabetics, everyday. Lets keep lines of communication open because I am always on the lookout for ideas to let them know, educate yourself, help others to help yourself and do it with LOVE & CARE. clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca
