Hey, Lynn. Saw your post in Diabetes and Women. Have you posted a similar request in the Great Lakes group? That might help, too! Good luck!

Hi Lynn,
I was trying to think of a good spot for the "Chicago get-together". Maybe we could rent a spot from the Chicago/Cook County park district. Perhaps another idea is better. I'm open to any suggestion you might have. Thanks for your help Lynn!

Lynn, I think it's really cool that you are testing more and getting in tune with your diet and body. Of course you know that type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder that is not affected by diet or lifestyle! your kids future may be enhanced by a better diet but your control over t1 is, well, a little less defined. Thank you so much for your encouragement, my laser procedure went okay. I was surprised by 2 little bleeders on my last exam -very disappointing! Thank God there is YAG laser technology to help me or else I'd be blind in my left eye in then next 10 years! hey I hope you r are okay until Friday and please let me know how you make out!! =)

Lynn...... so don't keep me guessing - how was the blood work? I got mine done today too, plus I got a little laser for my left eye (I have peripheral neuropathy on that side but it's been under control so far) (it still hurts tho) (the laser that is) and I visited my cardiologist too! I'll have the new a1c by wednesday and I am not particularly looking forward to it :/

Lisa and I like to ride carriage paths, when I ride by myself I like the mountain single tracks.... been to busy to ride this year and hoping next year I'll have more free time! Wow okay... well good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding and I hope you can buy the home of your dreams! Don't worry too much about the test results, no matter what there is treatment and strategy and you can do well with. Anytime you want to talk about insulin let me know!!!!

hi Lynn, yea I heard that a lot of folks get misdiagnosed T2 then T1.5. Did they do the antibody test on you? I hope the transition isn't too rough on you. I have taken insulin for 31 years so if you have fears or questions please feel free!
