I started the Navigator in November 2008 and the Omnipod in May 2009. I love the Navigator.

This makes me laugh - and cry! I'm the mom of a teen with type 1 (she just passed her 10-year "anniversary"). I KNOW she's gone through many breaking points during her short life, and have certainly see her react the same way, Amanda and Sarah! Sh...

Thanks Tim! I'm forwarding your post (& Seth's) to my daughter. Took a look at your profile (b/c from the tiny thumbnail it LOOKED so) and you ARE part of Team Type 1! Anna (my daughter) and Phil are friends (through camp, etc.). She's asked him ...

Hi Lynn I have been using the combo for almost a year now, and they are a fantastic pair. Seth's comments are spot on, take a look at how your daughter has her alarms set. I personally can't stand the "beeping" alarms and only use vibration. The ...

Thanks Seth! I'll share your suggestions with her. We're really new to this and, of course, I'm not the one using/setting the device. She'll certainly know what you mean by "what alarms." Maybe she can use different night time settings... Her A1Cs...

Hi! Yeah, I don't personally know any type 1 diabetics my age... so I'm hoping to meet some teens to connect with on this site. I love my Omnipod, too! Ooh... the Navigator is a CGMs, right? I'd love to get one of those! I think Omnipod is in the works of coming out with an update that includes a CGMs. If that's true, I'd love to get my hands on that!

Did your daughter try any other pumps before getting the Omnipod? I didn't even try on any other pump. I just know that I didn't want tubing. And... I'm glad I stuck with Omnipod, because it's made such a difference in my life! Glad to know that you guys are having success with it, too!

hi, Lynne, welcome here. I want to share the New Member Guide with you. It explains a lot of how things work here. Also look at the part where how groups work. If you want the whole community to see your question, go to Forum, then Insulin Pumpers Forum, and post your question there. It will show up as a discussion, and you are more likely to have someone answer.

We also welcome your daughter to be a member. Anyone older than 13 is welcome. Lately we have had a lot of teens (mostly girls) joining, and we look after them all! You will find this to be a safe and supportive place to be. Please feel free to ask any question, we are here to help each other.
