MF44SRQ replied to Bram's discussion 'Great new solution to keeping the G4 from falling off' in the group Dexcom Users
"That's exactly what I do! Works perfect and better than skin tac, which wrecks your skin."

MF44SRQ replied to Melissa M.'s discussion 'Sensor site on the arm?' in the group Dexcom Users
"I tried the arm and the sensor failed within 6 hours... They don't support any other areas... I know some people do wear on the arm, but they must not have muscles like me :D"

MF44SRQ replied to etta amy's discussion 'Insulet and Dexcom are no longer in a relationship' in the group Dexcom Users
"I want a Gen5 now please! I'll beta test, I'll alpha test. Better than pump integration and I bet insurance companies will be happier."

"Can't help you there..."

MF44SRQ replied to Joey's discussion 'Animas vs. OmniPod? Feedback needed.' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"If you really want a cool idea for your son, this is what I do. My wife sews a button hole into the inner pocket of my pants (shorts, pants, swim suit, any pants with pockets) and I thread the tubing through the hole to my infusion set, which I wear…"

MF44SRQ replied to etta amy's discussion 'Insulet and Dexcom are no longer in a relationship' in the group Dexcom Users
"I'd rather have smart phone integration versus a single site. I would suspect too many problems with a 7 day infusion set and the cost of dexcom sensors on a 3-day rotation would be extremely high."

MF44SRQ replied to Doug's discussion 'G4 Platinum is fragile - Accuracy much better but plastic is VERY fragile' in the group Dexcom Users
"They replaced mine in December and I told them the envelop was too small. They're still doing it? That's plain dumb... The "replacement" G4 is now broken, same rail problem. It's just a bad design..."

MF44SRQ replied to Doug's discussion 'G4 Platinum is fragile - Accuracy much better but plastic is VERY fragile' in the group Dexcom Users
"I've had 2 G4's with broken rails. The first was replaced, and 4 weeks later, the new one is broken... Getting a little fed up with the quality of this device."

MF44SRQ replied to NatalieHodge's discussion 'Adhesive TOTAL FAIL!!' in the group Dexcom Users
"Did you use adhesive remover to cleanup the previous site? If that's still on your hands the G4 adhesive fails. I use Tac Adhesive to keep it on."

MF44SRQ replied to QQMary's discussion 'HELP - New to Dexcom G4, on 1st sensor and getting false alarms and inaccurate readings' in the group Dexcom Users
"My rule is if gone for 4 or more hours, take meter. I notice there is a lag on the trend line for rapid raise and drops. I'm not so concerned with the actual number and I am with the trend arrow. Any arrow other than flat gets my attention and…"

MF44SRQ replied to QQMary's discussion 'HELP - New to Dexcom G4, on 1st sensor and getting false alarms and inaccurate readings' in the group Dexcom Users
"Interesting the rep said that; completely opposite from what they told me, both in person and from Tech Support."

MF44SRQ replied to QQMary's discussion 'HELP - New to Dexcom G4, on 1st sensor and getting false alarms and inaccurate readings' in the group Dexcom Users
"My Dexcom rep said to not calibrate more than 2 times a day, 3 at the most. I carry my meter regardless because if the sensor fails (happened twice so far), you have to have the meter available. For the 1st month, I did a finger stick before taking…"

MF44SRQ replied to QQMary's discussion 'HELP - New to Dexcom G4, on 1st sensor and getting false alarms and inaccurate readings' in the group Dexcom Users
"Stick to twice a day. Too many calibrations will make the meter less accurate. For the first couple of weeks I was still finger sticking 8 times a day, but once the device settled in, I only test 2 times a day for calibration."

MF44SRQ replied to QQMary's discussion 'HELP - New to Dexcom G4, on 1st sensor and getting false alarms and inaccurate readings' in the group Dexcom Users
"I had a similar experience the 1st week, then it settled down. I'm 3 months into it and it's rarely off more that 5% with my OneTouch. Hang in there..."
