Pregnancy was quite an adventure... you will probably start hitting worse insulin resistance soon. I had things really change from weeks 19 to 24 and had to increase my insulin every week or even more often. Then things settled down.
We are doing well! My son is 1.5 years old and started daycare in August. He loves it!!! I am teaching and still trying to finish my PhD.
I'll be thinking of you! Keep me posted when you have time and let me know if any pregnancy questions come up :-)

Kayla said… - Yeah i have no idea why my sugars are high. They have come down since the nurse added a bolus to my pump but they still spike every now and again. I'm trying really hard. That nurse scared me. She was really intimidating. So now i'm afraid to eat anything and i CONSTANTLY worry about what my blood sugar is. Even if i carb count correctly and take the right amount of insulin i still get freaked out thinking i didn't do enough. My blood sugar was high today for no apparent reason so i keep thinking about that nurse taking my pump.

- Well then you're in the same boat! It's great that you have a good goal to work for :) My goal is to have my A1C down to 5 because i have been feeling so awful and scared about my high numbers.
I feel so awful. I Have been doing really well these past few days in terms of taking care of myself. I Have been checking my sugar 3 times a day. I haven't snacked in-between meals. I count all my carbs. And i exercise. But guess what? My blood sugar is STILL bad!
I don't understand! So i got really frustrated that my sugar was 300 this morning that i over-bolused on purpose and it took my sugar down to 100 and then 80. I feel really guilty now because my Endo will look at my meter and pump and that just gives her another thing to get mad at me about. I'ts just been so stressful for a long wile. But i think i have a explanation. I know we can do it! If we work hard and support each-other we can bring our numbers down!
I will keep you updated as long as you keep me updated!

- I've been doing well i suppose. I get my A1C on Tuesday and i'm really freaking out. My blood sugar hasn't been very good for a few months now. I'm really scared that its going to be like 13! My bg has been running in the 200's for weeks. I've been really bad at taking care of myself. I find it hard to get 3 test's in a day. And i haven't been counting carbs. I feel like i should get my pump taken away and be put in a hospital. It's awful.

well idk. lets see. where to begin?....uhm okay on sunday i started to feel sick. like my head was killing me and everytime i even smelled food i felt like being sick. this totally sucked. plus i was running a fever of 100+ so that was hard to. okay so it went on like this untill finally tuesday my moma took me to the doctor. it turned out that i had the Influenza B. i had been having horrible keytones and my bg was ALL OVER THE PLACE. it was horrible. so the doctor gave me meds and told me to… Continue

okay so life is a bit stressful right now and my mom and i think its messing up my BG. its just stressing me out more and i don't know what to do anymore. i get to go to my endo on the 26th and my mom and i are going to talk to the dr bout getting a pump
