"Hi Maden, My BMI when I got pregnant with my twins 5 years ago was 26, considered overweight. I didn't notice any impact of diabetes on my weight gain. I didn't have a perfect diet by no means, but was lucky not to crave donuts at 2 am or…"

T1 & Overweight Before Pregnancy?

Has anyone experienced being overweight before getting pregnant? I've read horrible things about pregnant T1's w/ weight issues. My Endo tells me that I carry my weight wonderfully and not to concern myself with it. Please let me know if you experienced being overweight before getting pregnant and how everything turned out. Thank you so much!See More

Moving to Cambridge, MA

Posted on May 6, 2009 at 4:00am 9 Comments

Moving to Cambridge, MA in two months. I'm pretty nervous moving back to the mainland & with all the new experiences - especially the snow experience. Who moves from Florida to Hawaii & then on to Massachusetts anyway... right?

Hey Girl! Are you still on island, or have you already moved? I just got back from a long trip to the mainland and would love to see you again before you move!

You are going to love Boston. Don't believe everything you hear about Boston drivers, just stay clear of the Fresh Pond Rotary in Cambridge until you have driven here for say 20 years.

Hi Maden! Yeah hopefully we'll get to meet before you move. Time seems to be flying by so fast lately! Nope nobody in my family is currently in the military though my brother has been considering joining for awhile now. Did you have a good endo while here in Hawaii? I'm in the process of looking. I think I have it narrowed down but am still a bit iffy on who to choose.

Hope you had a nice Memorial Day!

Yeah definitely! Funny that we live so close! It'd be nice knowing someone else in the area that has T1 Diabetes too.

Hey Maden! How long have you lived in Hawaii? I just moved here in February from Oklahoma. Currently in Ewa Beach. Have a great day! :)

Hi there. Umm...leaving Hawaii? Are you kidding? For New England? Oh know they don't have rainbows in Cambridge, right?

I'm kidding, I hope all is well with you Maden.
