THat is my situation right now and they are the best team i have ever had for my diabetes. They understand what is going on personally. They know what a high and low feels like. The ones who are not diabetic do not understand. They are just book smart about the disease. I want to work with teens/young adults the most. I really feel that there is not enough support for that age group. As you know it is a hard age and diabetes does not make it better.

About Me!

My name is Maegan. I live in Queens, NY. I am currently a student at CityTech in my last semester! I'll be graduating with a B-Tech in Hospitality Management- Dec 2007. In 2005 I graduated from The Culinary Institute of America with an AOS in Culinary Arts. I really love to cook, its my passion.

My husband and I have been married for 4 years. I actually met him when I was an intern at a restaurant he cooked at. We don't have any kids, yet. Maybe after I finish school and find a job with benefits and get settled into my desired career path.

Recently, I came back from Paris. I spent an enitre month there. It was amazing, the city is wonderful. I walked around the entire city and hit all the major attractions in a week and a half. LOL I tired so many new and wonderful foods and wines- it was great.

I'm pretty close to my family- especially my dad and my two "brothers" Benji (a border collie) and Sam (a beagle). They pretty much have it made, everyone spoiles them, especially my parents.

A Wake Up Call...

So my sugars had been betting better and I got that awsome job on friday and for a moment I thought everything was going great, then I went to my dad's house and my brother found me having a seizure because I was low. That was friday night and I just got home from the hospital today-monday. I don't know how I could let this happen. I didnt eat anything different- I did eat. I'm much better!!!

Hey,

My diabetes was out of control for a little bit but now I am back on track! my numbers are in the low 100's. I dont feel so tired as I used to! I got a new meter too the Freestyle Lite, its so cute and works great! oh and in my job search I was asked to go back to meet the general manager which is awsome!! :)

Today is great!...so far

Well today is my 4 year anniversary w/ my husband Alex. We aren't doing anything special but I dont mind. A few mins ago I got an email for a job interview! Its so awsome, I'm really excited, now I have to dig out my suit!!! I still have art history class so thats tedius but so far so good!!! I'm excited!

What a waste of time....

Yesterday my new doctor told me I never had hypothyroidism. I have been taking this med for over 10 YEARS!!! Ok so I didn't take it daily but I took most days. Still it was such a pain in my a** to take that damn pill and go get blood tests, see a doctor, get a sonogram blah blah blah. Ok have a good day every1, maury is on I gotta go! :)

BATMAN!

I got my lil dog a batman costume but it was too big, so I tried to put it on my big dog and he refused!!! He wouldn't let me get near him with it, not even the batman hat!! It was so funny to see him run away form me! its not like it was bath time! maybe oneday i'll put that costume to good use! ... eventually....
