Any marathoners out there?

Hi, all!I run track/xc for a D1 college. I typically run about 45-55 miles/week and I've recently added about 40 miles of stationery biking/week (I'm taking an indoor cycling class this semester). I'm graduating at the end of April and am considering doing the Pittsburgh marathon in May - I'd like to finish in under 4 hours. When I do distance runs (6-12 miles), I typically carb up before the run and then disconnect from my insulin pump until I'm done running. My BG is generally pretty good…See More

I haven't had a really good long race for a while. There's a group, diabetics who run marathons, that has some regular runners who are really awesome!!

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
