I don't know what the gauge is, but I could definitely tell a big diff from the 33 gauge BD lancets. the delivery of the "stab" is way more stable - no side-to-side movement which tears the skin somewhat, it stabs you very cleanly. I also noticed soon after using it that I don't have the little black dots on my fingertips, so I guess the places where I use it are healing faster. here's a discussion we had a while back on lancets

anyway, give them a try. I also love not having to worry about sharps disposal.

congrats on being featured! our Manny is a huge Star Wars fans, along with his son. May I suggest a less hurtful lancet device? the Accu-chek Multiclix gets top ratings here for comfort, and it uses drums so there's never a sharp to handle.
