yes i use the formula my doctor gave me which is 1:20 which means 1 unit of insulin for every 20 carbs.

my insulin to carb ratio was established by how much insulin my pancreas still produce and how sensitive you are to insulin. Mine's took almost 2 weeks to establish because sometime it would be to much insulin and sometimes it would be to little insulin, but you still have to tweak it when you are eating certain kinds of food and if you are going to be exercising.
