My Diabetes Dx Story
I was Dx on July 15 2005, my stomach was hurting and i went to a walk in clinic and they checked my Urine, and there was sugar in it. so they sent me to the blood lab and when i got my blood test results back. they said i had diabetes. I have no one in my family (like mom, Dad or sister) that had diabetes. but i did have a uncle on my Dad's side and my mom's Grandmother had diabetes. I was just put onto Lantus insulin (Feb 2009) i am now on 90 units of Lantus in the morning and also 80mg of Gliclazide twice a day.

Lee said… - Hi Martina, and Thanks. As I have said to others not sure how this communication works but will try to learn. Did not answer quickly as I am warding off a cold or something like it....slept most of the day; my BG control has been steady so must not be any type of infection.
