- I am a working mom, mother of three healthy and handsome boys. Besides the diabetes, I consider myself a healthy woman. I try to eat right and workout and take care of myself. I have diabetes type one since 2001 ( 11 years ... wow! .. I remember my doctor telling me not to worry that the cure was coming in less than 5 years ... still hoping for that and for my kids to never get it ... Lately my A1C have been increasing and I don't like that ....specially because I don't really know or understand the causes of that and that put me down ... but I will fight and always do my best to be better every day ....for me , for my supportive husband and for my 3 reasons to live the longer I can !!!
