"I don't know if any of these comments are directed towards me or not, but I don't really care. I am not blowing steam, and I feel as if what I am saying here can help someone else, and maybe all of us in the process. I have been on the…"
"Thanks for your offer, but I am hoping that they will get this taken care of for me. If not, I may just insist that they do the upgrade free anyway, because they are the ones that messed this up. I should have been notified that the warranty was…"
"You will only get a new PDM free if you are in warranty. The warranty for the "cut the cord" program is 2 years, or the length of time left on your current pump warranty, whichever is more. Once the warranty is up, you need to go through…"
"Terry, It's silly to me that anyone would feel threatened. A while back there were lots of people posting on a different site about problems and thinking that some pods were defective. I always thought that at any time we could be opening a box…"
"That is the one I bought and posted about, but paid full price of 24.99. How much did you get them for, not sure if I want to try to get another one at this time of year. If they are even on sale at all of the stores? They are still regular price…"
"That is interesting that it is the exact same color and stitching and all. Michael won't use his case, so I could get it and do something with it, but not sure what would work. Are you talking about cutting the clip part off? Melissa does use…"
"If I were you, I would request that they send you just one month at a time until the new pods come out. Just take yourself off of auto ship. I didn't know anyone got any more than a 90 days supply at a time?"
"My understanding is that the Vibe has the feature, and wondering how that is possible? There is no way that my daughter could safely use the Ping because of her disability so we are hoping that the Vibe gets approved soon."
"Sebabella, here is the answer to your question.
Diabulimia (a portmanteau of diabetes and bulimia) refers to an eating disorder in which people with Type 1 diabetes deliberately give themselves less insulin than they need, for the purpose of weight…"
"I think that we will try arms next. Michael has always used arms, but that is why he was frustrated having the receiver go out of range when it was in his pocket with the 7+. That happened a lot to him. Melissa is now wearing and liking the pods on…"
"That is really funny about your power going out, because the same thing happened about a minute after I plugged Melissa's G4 in for the first time. I couldn't believe that little thing had caused us to lose power, but it was the middle of…"
"Not sure if the question was for me or not, but my daughter's basal at the time of her pod changes is 0.6. I really don't think that is a factor though, because parents of little ones with super low basal rates seem to report much higher…"
"I wanted to update that since the initial high after putting this pod on her stomach, it has been great. I am hopeful that we can just keep being more aggressive to keep these post pod change highs in line, we will stay with it. I don't give up…"
Hi Mary. I just saw your friend request today because I haven't been active doing that. I don't miss much about the ADA boards, but I do miss the closer "friendships" that I experienced there. I like this board but get a little more lost with posts being split between various forums and groups. I started a post today that I thought would end up in the Dexcom Users group and it ended up in General Diabetes Topics. I think I have a bit more to learn here.
You're absolutely right about Dexcom being easy to use. Although the results aren't perfectly accurate all of the time, they usually make sense.
HI Mary, Haven't seen you in a while. Been sort of busy with things at home I will try to pm you when I get a chance then you can letTimsma and others know what is happening. Good to see some of my favorites over here that I haven't seen in a while like April, etc.
Hi, Sweetie... thanks for the support. Yup things are getting dicey over there. I feel as though I've gotten my head bitten off several times. WHOA! What was THAT all about! There are a few regulars who can get quite nasty. I almost feel as though I have to apologize before I post a comment! Yikes. Yes, I spend a lot of time in Cincy because the marketing jobs are down here...just nuthin much up in TC for me..but theoretically once I get my biz going, I really should be able to spend longer periods up there....fingers crossed. Yes, that is so lovely to think I could eat that slice of cake and compensate! Ha Ha!
Hi, Mary...so great to see you here! I forgot you were in MI! I'm going up in about a week to see my dear hubby in TC....we've been together 30 years on May 8th (Mother's Day!) Sending you and Melissa good wishes. April (Anni)
