I have been trying to find something to help my daughter lose some of the weight that she has gained since an endo decided that there was no reason for her to stay on Metformin, which was prescribed…Continue
Just an FYI It really isn't a true 300cc reservoir....you will be luck to get about 275u...I have to change my cassette every other day and I use about 120u/day. But it will give you one extra day :)"
"I'm changing for a couple of reasons. My insulin needs have been changing and using about 140u a day now. Going from a 200u reservoir to a 300u will be a huge improvement. Also I had a pump failure which resulted in my a1c skyrocketing...with…"
"Edgepark is a train wreck for a lot of people. That is horrible that you are getting billed for their mistake. I'm hearing some really good things about the Tslim, joined a FB group and looking forward to getting it approved and her started on…"
"Hi! I was on the Omnipod and lo ed it BUT was lied to by Edgepark that my insurance covered pods and PDM. I am on Medicare and gave them all info, they quoted and billed for 2 month per Medicare fees and dropped me: month later they are billing me…"
"Are you just pulling it off? Soak it with adhesive remover or baby oil first, then slowly pull it off. There are also barrier products that you can get to put on your skin first, so that this doesn't happen."
"Thanks Clare, there is just so much confusion about this. My friend freaked out this morning when she read on Diabetesmine and thought that none of the replacement strips were any good unless they had those two code numbers! It really is quite a…"
"Right, but you said the old strips would work in any meter, so I wanted to point that out. I tossed a Flash meter when I saw the recall. And also would like to from Abbott know when anyone is getting a recall letter for those meters? Lots of us had…"
"There are also two recalled meters that are the same as what is in the PDM. Freestyle Flash and one other. Just says Freestyle on it. I don't understand why they didn't put that info in the letter, but it is on their site, in the press…"
"Check into all of the Medicare supplemental plans in your state, some are supposed to be covering it. My daughter is double insured right now but soon will only be on Medicaid. We are changing her to the Tslim. She is ready for a change anyway, and…"
Hi Mary. I just saw your friend request today because I haven't been active doing that. I don't miss much about the ADA boards, but I do miss the closer "friendships" that I experienced there. I like this board but get a little more lost with posts being split between various forums and groups. I started a post today that I thought would end up in the Dexcom Users group and it ended up in General Diabetes Topics. I think I have a bit more to learn here.
You're absolutely right about Dexcom being easy to use. Although the results aren't perfectly accurate all of the time, they usually make sense.
HI Mary, Haven't seen you in a while. Been sort of busy with things at home I will try to pm you when I get a chance then you can letTimsma and others know what is happening. Good to see some of my favorites over here that I haven't seen in a while like April, etc.
Hi, Sweetie... thanks for the support. Yup things are getting dicey over there. I feel as though I've gotten my head bitten off several times. WHOA! What was THAT all about! There are a few regulars who can get quite nasty. I almost feel as though I have to apologize before I post a comment! Yikes. Yes, I spend a lot of time in Cincy because the marketing jobs are down here...just nuthin much up in TC for me..but theoretically once I get my biz going, I really should be able to spend longer periods up there....fingers crossed. Yes, that is so lovely to think I could eat that slice of cake and compensate! Ha Ha!
Hi, Mary...so great to see you here! I forgot you were in MI! I'm going up in about a week to see my dear hubby in TC....we've been together 30 years on May 8th (Mother's Day!) Sending you and Melissa good wishes. April (Anni)
