I have been trying to find something to help my daughter lose some of the weight that she has gained since an endo decided that there was no reason for her to stay on Metformin, which was prescribed…Continue
"Your insurance will buy you a new pump if something happens to Tandem, but I don't see that happening. My daughter was on the Cozmo, and that is when we got her started on the Omnipod. Tandem is just diabetes and they have been around for 2…"
"There is a Facebook group for Tslim that is awesome, and there are some people that have no problems with bubbles at all. Many former Minimed and Animas users there that LOVE the Tslim. It is a closed group, but just ask to join. There are far more…"
"Interesting thread. My son has had type 1 for almost 20 years now, since age 15. He says that he never feels actual hunger since diagnosis! He had never shared that with us, until his sister was diagnosed and it was obvious that she does feel…"
"The PDM will use the Verio strips from the investors call info that was reported last week. I'm sure that is at least a year or more away though. Now that people are saying that Abbott is making people send in the test strips after the first…"
Just an FYI It really isn't a true 300cc reservoir....you will be luck to get about 275u...I have to change my cassette every other day and I use about 120u/day. But it will give you one extra day :)"
"I'm changing for a couple of reasons. My insulin needs have been changing and using about 140u a day now. Going from a 200u reservoir to a 300u will be a huge improvement. Also I had a pump failure which resulted in my a1c skyrocketing...with…"
Hi Mary. I just saw your friend request today because I haven't been active doing that. I don't miss much about the ADA boards, but I do miss the closer "friendships" that I experienced there. I like this board but get a little more lost with posts being split between various forums and groups. I started a post today that I thought would end up in the Dexcom Users group and it ended up in General Diabetes Topics. I think I have a bit more to learn here.
You're absolutely right about Dexcom being easy to use. Although the results aren't perfectly accurate all of the time, they usually make sense.
HI Mary, Haven't seen you in a while. Been sort of busy with things at home I will try to pm you when I get a chance then you can letTimsma and others know what is happening. Good to see some of my favorites over here that I haven't seen in a while like April, etc.
Hi, Sweetie... thanks for the support. Yup things are getting dicey over there. I feel as though I've gotten my head bitten off several times. WHOA! What was THAT all about! There are a few regulars who can get quite nasty. I almost feel as though I have to apologize before I post a comment! Yikes. Yes, I spend a lot of time in Cincy because the marketing jobs are down here...just nuthin much up in TC for me..but theoretically once I get my biz going, I really should be able to spend longer periods up there....fingers crossed. Yes, that is so lovely to think I could eat that slice of cake and compensate! Ha Ha!
Hi, Mary...so great to see you here! I forgot you were in MI! I'm going up in about a week to see my dear hubby in TC....we've been together 30 years on May 8th (Mother's Day!) Sending you and Melissa good wishes. April (Anni)
