I was diagnosed at 21, 5 years ago (I actually had exactly the same A1c when diagnosed!!). Now it's hard to remember or imagine life without diabetes!

Welcome to TuDiabetes. I see you are newly diagnosed Type 1. I hate to say it, but welcome to the club. There's lot of support here for you, which is nice. I have been a diabetic for 23 years this month and am still doing well. It's frustrating, but you can make it!
