"So Philly is done and dusted. Went through the first half in 1:41 feeling relaxed and easy, then around mile 15 or so started getting terrible calf cramps. I've never had cramps before, so I'm still not certain what the cause was, but…"

hi Steve, please try the Accu-chek Multiclix lancing device. It wins all the surveys around here for being the least painful device, plus it uses drums, so there's no sharps to handle. I test at least 10 times a day, and you can hardly see any evidence of it from my fingertips.

Welcome to the family, Med! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment.
