starting new pump

I got the cosmo pump about 5 years ago. I had it for a few years then realized that I didn't like it. I lost my control and my A1c went haywire and hasn't returned. Very soon I will be starting on a different pump, the MiniMed revel, but still with the use of my dex. I am kind of skeptical about starting pump therapy again, but I really want to be in better control and there is only so much I can do on lantus injections. Anyone have any tips or suggestions for me? I haven't been on a pump in…See More

Ugly bruise

So, I put Gracie (my dex) on a few weeks ago, on my left side...no problems...I went to put the next weeks site in, and it hurt. Got this nice bruise that I saw 2 days later because it was really hot,and me and my sister were attacking each other with the hose.I came inside to change, and looked down to check the sensor, and barely touching it, it practically fell off, and I was left with this beauty! Its gotten bigger in the last few days, and its turning yellow (which I heard is a healing…See More

BG Entries

Posted on June 12, 2012 at 12:02pm 0 Comments

I put my dex on at around 12 noon today. at around 2 it asked me for my 2 startup BG's, and I entered them. It has asked me for them again at least 3 times in the last hour and I keep rechecking and entering the numbers. I don't have to take this sensor out and put in a new one yet, do I?

Dexcom Seven+

Posted on June 12, 2012 at 8:35am 2 Comments

I got my Dex7+ a few months ago, but haven't used it much. I had used it a couple times before with my endo/nutritionist and realized I only got one of the three different cases with my dex. I got the one with the clear front and the zipper. When I used it with my endo, she gave me the silicone skin and a different clip case. I was wondering where I could get either, because I couldn't find it on the Dexcom website.
