I test wherever I am, and I usually give myself shots and take pills also wherever I am...I figure it's a part of my life, and altho I attempt to be discreet and not offend anyone, I have to live my life as comfortable and the best way I know how....

I've been on Byetta for one month now. 5mcg. The first few days I had very mild nausea but that has gone away. I started 10mcg this morning and several hours later I don't feel any different. I did lose 20 pounds though, which is the #1 reason I a...

It's been a month since I began Byetta 5mcg. Tomorrow I see the Doc again and should begin the regular dosage. I have not had any nausea other some slight nausea and burping the first few days. I have stopped the weight gain and believe that I've ...

Jenny, The article you posted a link for sounds like my insurance company wrote it, which, by the way, denies coverage for Byetta. My reply here is short & sweet: Please don't slam a medication that is working for me. If a medication works for 3...

Byetta isn't for everyone, just as no drug will work the same for every person. If your doctor refuses to change your meds, fire him. There are other doctors out there who may be a better fit for you. As for going off of medications, watch what y...

I wrote on another blog, but I've been on 1000 mg. 2x's a day of metformin hlc. for about 5 1/2 weeks. It seems like since I've been on it I lost my appetitie, get full quicker, feel bloated, and lose weight really easily when before the drug I ha...

I AGREE!!! In fact, I quit taking so many of the meds that I now consider "poison" because of the side effects and risks associated. I read Jenny's book - and I believe it saved my life - but I spent 2 months testing and trying things out and am n...

So glad to hear you are doing well. I grew up in Crown Point, Indiana and spent lots of time in Chicago. I still have a bunch of friends and relatives there. I love the city.

I am doing pretty well. I am over a week into my usage of the 5 mcg 2x/day and haven't had any nausea this time. I have been wearing my duct tape until about 10 am after breakfast and overnight while I sleep, making sure it is in place when I take my shots. Last night we had Mexican food. I had a side order of refried beans and a beef taco. I wasn't hungry for any more than that and I did just great, no nausea. Hoping that trend continues. I will bump up to the 10 mcg on December 16 and am hoping to continue with no problems.

It is very pretty down here in central Indiana. I am an avid amateur photographer, so my husband and I tend to find really awesome spots and do photo shoots at them, sometimes for hours at a time. I am very pleased with the shots I have been getting lately. Thank you for commenting on them.

Welcome Melanie. Glad you joined us. I went to high school with a girl named Melanie Williams, but I'm quite sure you aren't her. But that's why your profile caught my attention.
I hope you enjoy the site. It's been a great place for me. Let me know if you have any questions.
