Yes, I am a double-major. It's a lot of work but I'm enjoying it.

As for writing... I'm most likely not going to be making a career out of it (probably just a side-thing) but I do want to write at least one book and get it published. I'm working on one about a girl with diabetes, details are on my profile, actually. I joined the community so I could talk to more people about their experiences, as part of my research. I don't want the book to be drawn only from my own experience as it's atypical of a diabetic, and I don't want to make things up, either. I'd rather the events be based on or drawn from things that have actually happened to people living with D.

Really? Your back and arm? I'm sure I'd find that uncomfortable, but to each his own, right?

What kind of music are you studying? I'm doing a double-major in Creative Writing/Digital Art & Design myself.

Probably because they haven't been staring at your stomach? :P

I wear my sets on my legs, so the omnipod REALLY stuck out for me. (the tightness of my jeans, needless to say, weren't helping.) I just put my pump in my back pocket most of the time.

I like your new picture, btw. :)

Thanks for the add.

How do you like the Omnipod? I tried it and it felt so bulky to me.

There are some camps out there, just not sure I'd call them "retreats!" Check out http://www.diabetestrainingcamp.com/index.php Amylia Grace posted about it on her blog this summer, which you can check out at http://www.diabetesdaily.com/grace/2008/06/off-to-diabetes-camp.php

Welcome Melody. How was the retreat camp? Being a teacher and coach, I am a big kid myself. Camp sounds like a lot of fun!
