Michael Watson replied to Joey's discussion 'Animas vs. OmniPod? Feedback needed.' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"Exactly. I rarely notice the tubing at all. Interestingly, almost no one else does either. Twice in two years my dog has caught it with her paws while jumping up to greet me and pulled it uncomfortably. Three or four times I've caught it on a…"

Michael Watson replied to Joey's discussion 'Animas vs. OmniPod? Feedback needed.' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"I tried OmniPod, but found that having that large "bump" on my arm or hip was kind of a pain. I know several folks who love it, though, so it's clearly an individual choice. I went Animas, and I've loved it for nearly two years.…"

Michael Watson replied to Chad R's discussion 'Wierd Dexcom Trend' in the group Dexcom Users
"I've been using Dexcom Seven Plus for the past 4 months. I've found that I typically don't worry about the readings I get until day two of a new sensor. 80% or so of the time, the first day's readings are not particularly…"

Michael Watson replied to rosieb's discussion 'insulin delivery sting?' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"I've been using the Animas Ping and almost never notice the infusion. Occasionally, if I do a large bolus, I'll feel something at the infusion site that might be described as a sting, but it's VERY minor. I love my Ping. Good luck!"

Michael Watson replied to Kati *'s discussion 'giving the pod another try!' in the group OmniPod Users
"One thing I've figured out is that the right pump and the right sites are all very individual. One size does not fit all. Best luck, Kati!"

Michael Watson replied to Kati *'s discussion 'giving the pod another try!' in the group OmniPod Users
"I'm about to get on a pump and am finishing a saline trial of both the Animas Ping and the Omnipod. One week on each. I really wanted the Omnipod to win. Really. The Animas portion went really well. No issues, no difficulties, the tube was…"

Michael Watson replied to Stemwinder's discussion 'Insulin dependent T2's (How do you feel)'
"I was diagnosed Type 2 in April of this year, at a time when my BGs were typically in the 300s. With levels like that, I unsurprisingly felt crappy most of the time. I really wanted to get it under control, but found that for various reasons I…"

Michael Watson replied to Jason Sandeman's discussion 'What did you have for breakfast this morning?'
"Woke up late, was at 109 mg/dl. Ate a peanut butter sandwich and no-sugar-added jelly (contains Splenda), some cheddar cheese and a single-portion of Pringles chips. About 55g worth of carbs. Bolused 8 units RAI (Apidra)."
