Yes ... a lot. this morning I woke up and it was way high ... 17!!! and then I dropped 4 times before lunch ... I felt like crap all afternoon. now when I have lows I lose a little bit of my vision until it is at the normal level agai ... so scary!!! I think I am going to join curves ... I hate the way I look lately and I figure it is monitored for the full 30 minutes ... I am all about routine ... so I think that will be a good setup!!

Hi Michelle!! Sounds like we have a lot in common. I started the pump in 2000 when my blood sugar levels were out of control and slowly started gaining weight. I actually gained about 50 pounds since then and am so frustrated. Also my pump gives me multiple problems mostly with my skin. My sites get infected and hurt and most of the time when my blood sugar is high I will check the site and can feel the insulin coming up out of the site..I am just soooo tired of it all you know? I went into see my endo yesterday and she put me on a pill that type 2 diabetics take..she said it looks like I now have both type1 and type2 because I am resisting the insulin...I told her she should just shoot me now and get it over with..blah..this sucks and you would think being diabetic for 28 years I would be used to it ...

Hi Michelle!! It is so good to hear that you feel that way!! I always thought that it would get easier as I got older ... but just the opposite. I also find it frustrating that there is not a lot of education out there about type 1 .... most people think that they know what diabetes is ... but ithey know a lot about type 2. I like th pump ... but I am still having more lows than I would like to have and I have yet to work excercise into the whole plan!! I struggle with my weight and am workingon getting that down ... it is always an ongoing battle :o)

I decided to go with the pump. I just stated the process with the company and the doctor. I am excited. Hopefully it will help get my numbers into the range I am looking for.
