The day ive been dreading...

I've had brittle type 1 for 20 yrs now. Always check myself, count carbs, do insulin, very cautious of being diabetic. Told about 5 years ago I'm lucky to not have complications yet, well being born and diagnosed in the 80's there were a few new years that did not help. I have found out now that my doctor when I was little (diagnosed at 3) did not believe in insulin pumps when my mom begged, and he said my 9.0 A1C was safe and healthy! Looking back I get angry and want to smack him and say THANK… Continue

Brittle

My diabetes is affected by anything and everything!...however, not only affected by all, but affected differently every single time.
I can wake up with same BS for a couple days and eat same measurement of food, do same hour cardio, lift, not increase intensity or anything, and one day im either 400 or 50!
Im frustrated in life!!!! I used to check hourly. Doctor told me I was obsessing, but that is how I work! I feel like I know myself 10x better than the endos ive seen lately. Anybody else feel… Continue

I need to vent! : This horrific disease is draining away the enjoyment of my life, my soul, and my daily activities of day-to-day living. No human being should have to endure this disease for any period of time. There is very little quality of my life left with worrying about and experiencing low blood glucose, high blood glucose, constant adjustments with insulin and food intake, constant doctor visits, constant worrying about this disease, that took my Dad at twenty-nine (29), and is causing devastation with other members of my family.
