I joined this site because I wanted to support my newly husband, he has type 1 diabetes and he's had it since he was 13 months old. I've seen him from his bad and good times and I wanted to find ways to help him with his disease. I recently found the omnipod for him and he loves it because he feels freedom :). I also found this site which is the best because now he can ask questions and interact with other people who are also diabetic.

Ours run the gamut. One of the boys has been a bit "reserved" - especially since I took him to get "fixed." I don't blame him. A couple others are little love monsters who give and receive love with wonderful abandon. We bred one pair like that and 6 of the 8 puppies are the same way.

How cool - my bride and I have 8 Sibes. One of them (King Wolfgang of Snownosia) is not only a duly certified Therapy Dog, but he is an awesome helper when I'm having those wicked lows.

Hi Michelle - wow - 13 months old for your husbands diagnose!!! So, he must be like me - pretty used to living with it by now! Glad you are such a supportive spouse - that is what helps me out - that my husband "gets me" (well most of the time - he's learning how to handle me when I have a hypo - emotional twit that I can sometimes become - luckily - get way less of those with being on pump now LOL). How is he liking the pump - lucky guy - no tubing (he can't wrap it around you know what LOL). So, take care - and glad to see you have joined up to Tudiabetes!! BTW, my sis-in-law is from Georgia (Atlanta) - been there a few times over the years - long drive - but the southern hospitality is soooo worth it.
