Sorry about that low - blech!
Seriously, don't worry about the funding - it will happen. That was my biggest fear but people were so generous.
Another idea is to have the local paper come out and do an interview and put a place at the end of where to send donations. Maybe directly to Pawsibilities or maybe set up an account at the bank just for that - you know, "a fund has been set up at Whatever Bank for donations"
Enjoyed your video!! I was born and raised in Omaha so the last screen made me smile! We're new to diabetes...son diagnosed 12/2007....just love all these sites to gather information from.

I see that you homeschool. I am a teacher. Not currently teaching, but I have my degree and taught one year. I am now working another job and going back to school to get my master's. I think homeschooling can be a wonderful thing. I'm glad that you are able to do that.
They did a pretty good job by me actually.
I think it's great that you adopted when they were older.
I have already decided that I want to adopt my children. For a number of reasons. Number one: to continue the tradition. Number two: I am afraid of passing on diabetes. I think I would feel horribly guilty.
Ironicaly enough, I think I would adopt a diabetic child and never think twice about it. Just because I know how to take care of them.
Anyway, tell your daughter not to worry about having diabetes. It's not the end of the world by any means. Which I am sure you already know, but sometimes it helps to hear it from someone who's lived w/ diabetes for 22 years.
