I've lived in Ely for eleven years now. What is the surname of Jennifer? Is she a diabetic or someone you know here? As well as translating, I also work two days a week doing admin tasks at a complimentary health centre in Ely and have got to know, or at least recognise, so many local people simply because they come to the centre - by that token a Jennifer may possibly have passed through. I haven't been inside Ely Cathedral for quite some years. The entrance fee is quite steep, except on Sundays when it's free (or was the last time I went). Still, the Catherdral precincts, Cherry Hill Park and the riverside are all very nice places to visit.
Your book on life with diabetes is somewhat of a rarity. I've found only a handful of books of this type, including Andie Dominick's Needles, Lisa Roney's Sweet Invisible Body , James S. Hirsch's "Cheating Destiny" and Gritt Ott's Mein süßes Leben and Vom Hoch und Tief des süßen Lebens (the former currently being translated into English, so I believe).
I think once I become a pro with my carb counting and insulin, I'll be trying the pump.
I will be in Vancouver , May 3 .Purpose : to participate in the Vancouver Marathon as a Team Diabetes member .Any chance of cheering us on ??
Please visit my blog about our Provincial Election , May 12. " Tackling diabetes in BC " , asking the politicians to renew BC's Diabetes Strategy and to make tackling diabetes a priority .
Stay well .
