2560 miles. 105 of which were across Death Valley for the JDRF Ride to Cure. Met some really cool people and had a blast. I'm shooting for 3000 for the year, but it ain't looking good.

I need to have bypass. I will have it done at the Cleveland Clinic on Dec 2. I had one artery 95% to 100% blocked and 3 others at 85%. I have a lot of collateral growth to make up for my 95% blockage.

Mike, thanks for the invite, and for the birthday wishes! It looks like you're into cycling... you should check out another group that I've worked with called Diabetes Training Camp (www.diabetestrainingcamp.com) - they do week-long multisport training camps with fitness-minded people with diabetes (typically type 1s at this point). The founder Dr. Corcoran is amazing, you'd love him, and he has a phenomenal staff of Olympic level coaches... in fact his cycling coach is Rick Crawford, who coached a young Lance Armstrong among many others!

Anyway, thanks for the connection!

Thanks for the request, Mike, looking forward to hearing what's working for others who are maintaining a full lifestyle. I'm new to diabetes & brand new to the site how did you happen to find me? Looks like you're into cycling, I've laid off since dx, would like to get back to it (at least spinning during the winter) but hesitant as to the impact on my bg levels & a bit fearful of tanking.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the add. Great to see other active diabetics around! I recently celrated my 29th DiaBirthday and I'm more active and healthy than I've ever been. Would love to learn more about how you go about exercise and keeping your levels steady.
