"The run time is always an issue with me and my diabetic bladder. Usually 2hrs 10 min is the best I can do without a bathroom break. I rely on runpee.com to help with that. Longer movies I tend to leave for cable. I do love Lurman, but have no…"

Evil Dead (2013)

I saw the red band trailer for this a few months back and was sold with the hopes of over the top crazy physical gore. I was not disappointed in the least. It is a fun ride, similar story to the original, but enough differences so it can stand on its own. If you are a firm fan of the franchise, stay through the end credits, even if you are doing the famous pp dance in your seat waiting to redistribute that diet soda. I give it 4 test strips. It was fun, it was gory, it wasn't scary.

Acupunture anyone?

Posted on July 31, 2009 at 3:29pm 6 Comments

Well, the Bells Palsy has subsided and my face is as back to normal as normal will allow my face to look. During the immediate concern from friends and family (since we all thought it was a stroke at first), a friend of my Fathers suggested acupuncture. In fact he recommended it so highly that he sent me $100 to try it. My first response was "why would a man who sticks himself all day with needles and finger pricks pay someone money to stick him some more?"

Now I never look a gift horse in… Continue

Diet soda choices

Posted on February 25, 2009 at 12:57pm 4 Comments

I went to get a diet soda from our company pepsi machine ( they have the monopoly in our company). Last week I had gotten a regular pepsi for a guest with low sugars, so I knew it was only one dollar. Much to my surprise, Diet pepsi is $1.50. I looked back at regular pepsi, $1.00! So I thought, uh uh, I'll just get a bottled water. $1.50. Ok, how about ice tea-$1.50. Everything I could drink was more then the one I couldn't drink, especially when my numbers were in the 170's.

Now I know… Continue

Where do you take your shots?

Posted on September 26, 2008 at 9:53pm 7 Comments

Everytime I go out to eat with my boss, which is alot since we are friends, she makes me go to the bathroom to take my insulin because she thinks it is "disgusting!" to do in the middle of a restaurant. I hate this! I feel like she is ashamed to be seen by me when I am taking a shot so I am getting banished to the , Ugh, bathroom. Hardly the most sanitized room in a restaurant. I have finally got my other friends to not care if I inject at the table. It took a while though, and I can be timid… Continue

We have similar costoms in arab world especially during the fasting month of Ramadan, where children go nocking on doors to collect sweets and have masks on their faces. It is a small world and innocent fun is sweet.
