"Aside from being sick, I think my unexplained highs occur most frequently when I get in the habit of skipping exercise. Personally, I can usually chase away an unexplained high by getting my heart rate up for a while - like ten minutes of quickly…"

"Insurance companies are for-profit businesses. They are not in business to "take care of their customers" any more than Dexcom or Wal-Mart. The insurance business in its entirety is at least as evil as any other business."

MikeU replied to Mary's discussion 'Transmitter replacement cost' in the group Dexcom Users
"Such is life with healthcare in the US. I recently had blood work done - coded as 4 or 5 different tests. The "price" was listed as nearly $600. The cost to my insurance company was about $60. My 10% copay was about $6. Healthcare…"

Dexcom calibration frequency

There was a thread recently, which I wasn't able to find, that discussed the calibration frequency for the Dexcom. There were a number of suggestions in the thread.I couldn't remember what I was told during my 7+ training, so I asked Dexcom support. The response I got was the following...7+ and G4 Calibrate with 2 meter readings at startup, as prompted.Never enter two meter readings within 5 minutes, except at startup.Calibrate when prompted, normally every 12 hours.7+ If you happen to take…See More
