"I saw a fair bit of blood after my first G4 sensor insertion. The first 24 hours or so, I got readings that were a bit all over the place. After calling Dexcom, I tried doing 3 calibrations 10-15 minutes apart. After that, the readings started to be…"

"Blood is bad news. Blood poisons the sensor, which leads to bad readings. I replaced a 'bad' sensor last week after using it for only a couple of days. Sure enough, I could see the dried blood at the insertion site. I would pull this…"

I had aweful readings all night telling me i'm low when i'm not then…See More

New G4 Set up HELP!

Hello Diabetes Buddies!!I just got my G4 Dex today and I am very excited about starting. I have a quick question. When I input the transmitter # into the G4 I didn't wait 10 min after removing it from the package. I was a little over zealos and didn't read all the instructions. But now the little tower symbol that is supposed to be in the upper left hand corner of the reciver is not there. Should I not insert a sensor until it is there? Also side note: I called Dexcom almost 3 hours ago and they…See More
