Belinda replied to ANTONIA RETMAN's discussion 'omnipod and cgms' in the group OmniPod Users
"5 years is a LOOOONG time! They should have worked to bring out a CGM that shared the PDM with the OmniPod and had 2 separate sites first. When I got my Dexcom, I needed to buy a bigger handbag because 1 extra bit of kit, plus spares was too much…"

The OmniPod, The Dexcom and I make 3....

The OmniPod and I get on very well. My hypo-symptoms have not returned, and the hypos were a very big problem. Treating the hypos caused rebound highs and round and round we went! The NHS agreed to fund the Dexcom and that was that... well until next year, anyway. So, I can use 1 sensor for 1 week, or I can 'extend the life' of my sensor, like people who fund their own do. Considering that my current Dexcom funding is for a 12-month trial, to see if it works; I decided to 'extend their life' so…See More

Dexcom Users

For users of a Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring ("CGM") deviceJust as a reminder with the recent release of the new Dexcom G4 to the US market--it is NOT okay to post about previous models or older sensors as being 'for sale' on this site.It is a violation of the Terms of Use because it is a prescription device, and any such efforts will unfortunately be removed. We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association (…See More

I have been using my Pump for 9 days now. As it's an OmniPod, it's actually been 4 different ones (1 pod lasts 72 hours & I knocked one off during a hypo - thank God!). Do I like the pod? It's good being able to attend a meeting, have a piece of cake (like everyone else) & only need to press a few buttons to bolus for it.

I did a basal test from 02:30 to 06:30, I think my 04:00 - 09:00 basal should increase slightly. Tonight, I have to remember not to have a bedtime snack… Continue
