If not, you should check it out -- http://www.socaltrailriders.org. I'm known as 'shudder' there (I carry my Nikon with me a lot on my rides...). I've been on that board since early '07 when I waas racing 12 hour races. I've done a 24 hour, and a few XC races, but I'm not a fan of the short form.
I'm up in Calabasas, so most of my riding is in the Santa Monicas. Plenty of it, that's for sure.
