Newbie to my Medtronic Insulin Pump

As of yesterday August 26 I am plugged into my insulin pump. Only it's running saline instead of insulin until I get used to it. So far so good half the night spent worrying that I might break it, if I fell asleep and it got crushed. But I finally caved and fell asleep. Woke up freaking out that I may have messed up my pump only find ever faithful laying beside me in tact phewwwwwwwww what a relief hahahaha. Maybe this means tonight I will sleep better. Thanks for your message, yes I have the same pump as you and I am only just beginning to get used to it, I had trouble changing the infusion sets I stupidly kept forgetting to remove the needle cover. I am told that its a common error.
I should have got this pump long ago especially as I hated to inject.

- Oh I'm not going on a vacation. Both my kids (One lives with me) the other lives 5 miles down the road from me. I feel so honered b/c I get to see my g-kids almost everyday. I have one (Amarie) that stayes with me like 5 nights in a row then goes to "her house" for a day then comes back to stay another 3-5 days with me!

- That's the way I learned to! Now it's my g-kids with sometime out for me when I fall sooo low! Old School was the way. My daughter's (both of them) seem to put themselves firts. - I usually do that at about 25. Don't know what I was running when I woke up b/c my g-daughter woke me up crying and teally didn't think of myself til she went back to sleep. Boy when I did it was almost too late. Got so many gulagon shot's it's not funny! That and the ER! LOL! You just said what my Dr says. "Better to be a little high than so low you can't help yourself"

I'm Canadian so those fast food places don't really count for me - so I tend to use Dana's book. I found her book at Chapters - a book store here in Canada. Hope this helps :)
