hand neuropathy

I am not sure that is what is going on with me. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome to my right hand when pregnant with my youngest whos now 15. Since then I experience sharp pain at times stiffness that begins about midway between wrist and elbow. But what bothers me the most I get angry even is that my hand loses total control at times and if I am holding something I drop. Unintentionally my hand just opens and I've gotten so mad at losing control of my hand that I cry. My family has…See More

As of yesterday August 26 I am plugged into my insulin pump. Only it's running saline instead of insulin until I get used to it. So far so good half the night spent worrying that I might break it, if I fell asleep and it got crushed. But I finally caved and fell asleep. Woke up freaking out that I may have messed up my pump only find ever faithful laying beside me in tact phewwwwwwwww what a relief hahahaha. Maybe this means tonight I will sleep better. My kids are proud of me for taking the… Continue

Hi Nikki
Thanks for your message, yes I have the same pump as you and I am only just beginning to get used to it, I had trouble changing the infusion sets I stupidly kept forgetting to remove the needle cover. I am told that its a common error.

I should have got this pump long ago especially as I hated to inject.

I tend to read wrong sometimes too. I put words in there that don't belong. LOL! Don't worry about it. Gerri does have some great diet ideas though. Alan told you right about that and all else he said.

Oh I'm not going on a vacation. Both my kids (One lives with me) the other lives 5 miles down the road from me. I feel so honered b/c I get to see my g-kids almost everyday. I have one (Amarie) that stayes with me like 5 nights in a row then goes to "her house" for a day then comes back to stay another 3-5 days with me!

Boy when I did it was almost too late. Got so many gulagon shot's it's not funny! That and the ER! LOL! You just said what my Dr says. "Better to be a little high than so low you can't help yourself"

The one I like that is light weight is Dana Carpender's Carb Gram Counter - of course - the ultimate one which is same size - but heavier due to being thicker - is The Calorie King - Calorie Fat & Carbohydrate Counter (it also lists 200 fast-food chains & restaurants). I'm Canadian so those fast food places don't really count for me - so I tend to use Dana's book. I found her book at Chapters - a book store here in Canada. Hope this helps :)
