Update: I finally started with insulin yesterday. Went well, but after bootcamp I was so sweaty the adhesive starting coming off. My numbers were then over 300. My rep told me to replace the pod and use the adhesive to reapply. After 24hrs I like...

Please keep us posted. FWIW, I went on a pretty stressful business trip a week after I started on the Pod and I did just fine. :) I'm with you on the middle of the night BG checks. Yuck. But worth it!

I absolutely love the Omnipod and cannot imagine going back to MDI. It was an adjustment at first and I am still tweaking here and there a couple months later. I do get pod failures every now and then but customer support has been so great with re...

I do like the OmniPod. I exercise intensly 4-5 times a week, and it stays on!! I haven't started with insulin yet, only saline. I've had to travel a lot and we didn't think we shoud start insulin while I was on the road. I did practice going throu...

One other big advantage of the OmniPod is that even if you leave the PDM at home, you are still getting your basal insulin. With the Solo, if something happens to the device and it comes off, you are receiving NO insulin. I think that's a very imp...

Nikki, how is it going now? Do you like the OmniPod?

I recieved a solo sample in the mail. I was not impressed. it was slightly thinner, but the same relative size as far as real estate taken on the body. When it first arrived I thought.... oh this looks a lot smaller ... then I put it next to a pod...

That's great! I agree that any transition is stressful. I'm glad to hear it's starting off well. My son has used it for over 2 years and I think he actually likes the "ticks" because it lets him prepare. He counts down and braces himself. Good luc...

Thanks everyone. The training session went well. I wasn't expecting the 4 "ticks" and pop insertion, but I can get used to it. I'm on saline now "testing". I do think i'm going to like it!! Whew..i fell so much better.

At this point, the Omnipod is proven while the other isn;t at this point. Going-forward I expect it will cause Insulet to improve upon the Pod. Otherwise, I just love the Omnipod. I couldn't imagine going back to MDI ever again..... In my opinion...

My 12 year old son has been on the omnipod for two years and i can say with all honesty, this is a great technology that can change the way you feel about diabetes. We also had our share of problem solving in the first 6-8 weeks, but once we figur...

I wouldn't worry about the Solo4you. I spoke with the CDEs at Stanford regarding this product and they are NOT going to roll it out through them. Apparently, they are going to launch it into several small markets and do more "real" people testing ...
