I'm Dave a 33 year old Irish Type I Diabetic. I was diagnosed last year (pretty late for a T1 diabetic).

I've been prescribed Lipotor for the last 3 years or so. Funny, I was really anti taking it at the start, purely coz I dont have any cholesterol problem. After 6 months of convincing, I decided to go with it. I'm off it now coz we're trying to get pregnant but I can see the benefits of it.

Hi Dave, I'm an (almost) 30 year old, living with diabetes for 21 years. I'm from Dublin and living here now with my husband (who I had to convince to move here from Limerick!!) I'm a primary school teacher. For someone who is only recently diagnosed you're HbA1c level is excellent so you're coping well!

Hi Dave
Here in the US the cost of living with diabetes varies. My insurance through my employer pays for some of the cost and I have a "co-pay". My co-pay for insulin pens are $45USD, also co-pay for 200 test strips are $45USD. The needles are $15 co-pay.

Hi Dave! Thanks for your comments. Portland is a really nice place to visit. I miss it a lot. I've actually never been to Vancouver, B.C. but I hear it's nice too. The closest I got was Seattle. If you ever come to New York City, look me up! See you 'round the blogosphere.

Woops, I didn't really answer your question, there, did I? I did a bunch of freelance work for a custom cookbook company, but don't do much graphic work anymore aside from my website. :)
