Hi everyone....I wasn't sure exactly where to post this so I'm just doing it as a blog post.
I have been dealing with back pain (muscle cramping) since Feb 2nd!!! Last night was bad again.
I switched myself off of Levemir to Humalog Mix which I'm sure my doctor loved, but I HAD to try something or lose my mind!! It's still the same. I even went to Urgent care and they xrayed my back and it showed some arthritis in my spine between my shoulder blades but this is NOT…

First of all I'd like to say that I very possibly got off on the wrong foot here. I am a very shy person until I get to know someone and then I tend to say things that are taken the wrong way....so I've been told all of my life..."it's not 'what' you say but how you say it...so if I've offended anyone here I'm very sorry. Plz forgive me. Then if I feel overwhelmed I tend to disappear which I know I've done also. I have anxiety/depression and PTSD....right now the depression is RAGING, my…

I called the drs. office today and talked to the lady who deals with the pre-approval's and things like that and she called my ins. co. and because I had an allergic reaction to Lantus and the Humalog Mix isn't working.....they approved for me to get my Levemir for ONE more year.....don't know why they don't just approve it for good, who knows....but at least the Levemir was HELPING me and bsl's weren't in the 2 and 300's!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Thank you Jesus!!! Just popped in…

Medicare decided they weren't going to pay for my Levemir anymore and I had barely gotten started on it and was doing better. Bsl's were coming down very well as long as I behaved myself and I was/am trying very hard. Counting carbs and all. The letter said that my doctor could call Medicare and appeal their decision...but he never had anyone do it. He put me on Humalog Mix 75/25. I'm up to 45 units x 2 now and it is NOT working!! I'm hardly eating anything and certainly…

Stemwinder said… Hi Pam, Thanks for you comments on my post. I knew when I posted it it would hit a lot of T'2 in the face. I hoped it would make a person take a hard look at what they are doing.
The most challenging part for me was the food part. I learned that for me the most important thing was to watch the carbs and not worry about the fat so much. Counting carbs taught me what was okay for me. I was Ok as long as I could have some of the not so lean foods.
