I was just looking at your comments on "Frustrated," and I didn't want to hijack the thread, so I thought I'd mention Gastroparesis on your page. A common problem for me and others, is that in a meal with protein and fat and carbs, the carbs will be released later, maybe 5-6 hours. The result is that the insulin you bolus doesn't find carbs so you go low soon after eating; then when the carbs are finally released later you go high. I don't know if that's the cause of your highs and lows, but it happens to me a lot. I see you have a pump; the dual wave is very helpful if that is in fact a problem for you.
Welcome Paricia.... Funny how my eyes kept seeing "Patricia" instead of Paricia. Pretty name. You are posting great questions and comments but I notice you are responding to other comments and questions from early 2009. Perhaps if you read through the thread a bit or skipped ahead to the last page, you could play in a more up-to-date forum. We would love to see what you have to say about stuff we're typing now! Let me know if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about as I'm not all that great at explaining stuff. Again... keep posting!
